Check three things in order — is there a Cart Depot near the industrial zone, is the road between zones paved, and is the destination Storehouse filtered to actually accept the good (not clogged with wheat)? The workshop is usually innocent; the missing cart, full warehouse, or unpaved road earlier in the chain is the real culprit.

Which production chain should I build first?

Bread, always. It is your survival baseline — starvation triggers emigration and your labor force collapses. Second is Pottery: it is cheap, sells well at the Trade Port, and produces the Amphorae your Wine and Olive Oil chains need later. Third is Wine, which unlocks Patrician housing and real tax income. Iron comes last as an endgame investment. Rushing Wine before Pottery is stable is the most common mid-game trap — the whole chain idles without Amphorae.

How do I stop my Storehouses from filling up with the wrong goods?
